Freshly Laundered.

If I were a computer game programmer, I will definitely create a game based on the following, to give future generations an orientation of their sad and inevitable future...

Welcome to the World of Lab, where every single day is like embarking on a whole new adventure. An ordinary student transforms into the hero of the moment when battling the FYP monster.

Fight for your survival in any of the labs you choose: B1, B2, B3 or B4.

Progress through your project (and hopefully finish it) while facing the challenges below:
-Lab technician/some random person stealing to use your equipment? Check.
-The mad rush to book the rare and elusive equipment usage slot? Check.
-Disappearing items (e.g. chemicals, stationery, glassware, even lab coats) from your inventory and private stash (e.g. pipette tips and aluminum foil)? Check.
-The mystery behind unanswered emails to your supervisor and mentor? Check.
-Get things done by pestering your mentor who always seems to conveniently forget about your project? Check.
-Getting manipulated to run errands for your mentor? Check.

... and many more!

Gain experience and level up whenever you finish an experiment successfully! You may also gain special items when you obtain the results you want, or catch the perpetrator/s stealing your stuff in the act.

Try "Final Year Project: Do or Die" today! :)

Inspired by an incident that happened today.

I returned to transfer my 4% formaldehyde solution into a glass bottle when I saw these 2 people huddling near the lab coat rack and giggling to themselves (or so it appeared). I had to walk past them to place my bag on the storage shelves, and it was then when I noticed that the name on the guy's lab coat was "Samantha".

Like duh right. I was stunned for a microsecond before marching up to them and said,
"Excuse me, you are wearing my lab coat and I need to use it like, NOW." -.-

Well I'm not sure about them, but "we're only going to be here for a short while" is not good enough reason to warrant "borrowing" an XS lab coat that is much too small for you.

Sorry (not!), watakshi is buay paiseh when it comes to MY things. It ain't just losing a couple of markers to some cheapskates. I mean, I have had some schmuck remove MY name tag from MY hanger, pinned it onto MY lab coat, and then hung it elsewhere. Not to forget, some idiot who took MY goggles, then returning it "suddenly" after I ranted very loudly about it's disappearance.

Keep your hands to yourselves please. Thank you.
