This Has To Stop. Now.
"Easily bored people are at higher risk for depression, anxiety, drug addiction, alcoholism, compulsive gambling, eating disorders, hostility, anger, poor social skills, bad grades and low work performance."
"Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), one of the anxiety disorders, is a potentially disabling condition that can persist throughout a person's life. The individual suffering from OCD becomes trapped in a pattern of repetitive thoughts and behaviors that are senseless and distressing but extremely difficult to overcome. People with OCD suffer intensely from recurrent, unwanted thoughts (obsessions) or rituals (compulsions), which they feel they cannot control. Ritualistic handwashing, counting, checking, or cleaning are just some of these obsessive thoughts."
I don't know what's worse; having to entertain a spectrum of scattered thoughts, or having to fight off the urge to play mashed up portions of random songs in a loop, with no end in sight.
